Working in the product team you'll be responsible for championing and developing the product vision and strategy ensuring it aligns with the company vision, strategy and business goals.

What does the job involve?

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Drive innovative product development for the AJ Bell website and apps to differentiate AJ Bell from other retail investment platforms
  • Manage the delivery of new features, scoping and definition through to launch
  • Maintain and update the product governance documents for the product
  • Carry out analysis of the investment platform market including emerging entrants and products
  • Identify and carry out research on existing and target customers
  • Be a product expert and create and scope new content, in conjunction with the product development and content teams, on the web and app to support new product launches
  • Work with the teams impacted by product change throughout the business to ensure that change is bedded in and that these teams are adequately supported to improve the experience for customers
  • Manage key third-party relationships
  • Grow and build relationships with stakeholders throughout the business
  • Manage junior staff member(s), delegating work and ensuring it is done to a satisfactory standard

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a product focused role
  • Previous experience working in investments or wealth management preferred
  • Confidence working in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience of managing people and teams
  • Educated to degree level (business/marketing subjects preferred but not essential)
  • Extensive website and mobile product experience 
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities / deadlines without comprising quality
  • Strong analytical skills
